FAQ
What is included in each puppy purchase?
Each puppy purchased from us includes, a puppy gift box filled with treats and toys for your new four legged friend. A comprehnsive welcome home guide. Everything from what to expect on the first night and beyond. Their first vaccination and worming completed. A comprehensive health check by our amazing vet. Microchip inserted (you will need to complete the transfer)
What do we need to collect our puppy?
Congratulations on welcoming your new furry friend! Puppies may feel scared during their first journey home. If you're driving with family, one person can hold and comfort your puppy. If you're alone, use a box or bucket lined with puppy pads for safety and cleanliness. Avoid putting your puppy on the ground until you’re home to protect them from illnesses, as they are still unvaccinated.
What do I need before my puppy arrives?
A comfy bed (or crate if you are crate training) set up in a location where you want them to train to sleep. Water bowls both inside and outside of the house. Food for them to eat (we provide you the brands and links to the food we have started them on in our welcome guide). A few toys to play with. The cat tunnel from kmart is a fan favourite. A few balls and cuddly teddy bears as well. As well as open arms for lots of cuddles as they adjust.
When can I take my puppy outside for walks to the park?
Your puppy will need to be fully vaccinated before they can go for walks to the park or outside the home. This also goes for visiting friends and family. Puppy immunity is still very fragile and can be exposed to infectious diseases from other animals. It is best to keep them at home until they are fully vaccinated.
How do I toilet train my puppy?
We’ve started the process! Continue these steps: Take your puppy outside immediately upon waking. Praise them for using the grass. Avoid puppy pads, as they can delay progress. Take them outside before bedtime to encourage nighttime toileting. With consistency and praise, they’ll pick it up quickly.
What should I feed my puppy?
Your puppy has been transitioning from their mother’s milk to biscuits. Initially, they’ll need three meals daily—breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Once they start refusing lunch, reduce their meals to twice a day. It’s normal for your puppy to eat less while adjusting to their new environment. Continue feeding them the same diet they were introduced to here, as sudden changes can cause stress. After settling in, you can gradually transition their diet to fresh food, which is highly beneficial for their health.
